Products available for 2004+ Mazda 3 and 2007+ Mazdaspeed 3 using Bilstein struts/shocks and stock OR lowering springs

Did you know the Mazdaspeed 3 corners on the front bump stops, causing understeer?

The Bilstein aftermarket front struts come with an internal bump stop that can't be changed without disassembling the strut. We feel the length is a bit longer than optimal for maximum suspension travel; we can shorten it during a custom revalve to improve ride comfort and also increase grip. Otherwise, we do not offer a front bump stop for the MS3 Bilstein struts.

However, the FCM kit for the rear Bilstein shocks will increase suspension travel and smooth ride vs. the longer factory rear stops. Bump stop engagement point can be tuned via spacers/packers (with the shocks on the car). Spacers are available separately.

We are also happy to perform and FCM Elite revalve on Bilstein HD or Sport suspensions for the Mazda 3 or Mazdaspeed 3.

FCM Elite testimonial from our Mazdaspeed 3 customer, Jimmy H.

Hi Shaikh,

Wanted to give you an update earlier but everyone took vacation at the same time in the office, leaving me the only one left. You may certainly use my emails as a testimonial. Like you said, the suspension has improved at low speeds but I still feel what I think are the big sway bars. For example, if the driver side hits a 1.5"-2.0" bump, I feel my side go up but at the same time, the passenger side seems to drop a little, thereby exaggerating the bump. I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable like the way my car was but it's still there. Don't get me wrong, it's bounds and leaps better than it used to be but I'm not sure if the forces at low speed are even enough to flex the big sway bar much. (Draw backs of a big sway bar) That's why I think at higher speeds, the forces are greater and actually flex the big sway bar and blends the forces in more making it less jarring. Does that make sense or am I completely off? Smaller road imperfections are more heard than felt in the cabin.

It's sumpremely smooth at speed. It doesn't feel like I'm going fast but the speedo is in the triple digits (when I'm not speed limited by my wife and roads are sufficiently empty for me to safely do so). I think the suspension is training me to subconsciously just start driving faster, LOL!

I also got lighter wheels with a +0.5" wheel width clad with stock sized Bridgestone RE11 tires. Dropped approximately 4 lbs of unsprung weight off each corner which should help. Downside is that there's a +10.5mm offset difference from stock. I can barely feel the negatives of an increase in scrub radius for a daily driven car. I'll probably have to find a big empty parking lot to see how it feels at the limit.

I think I've given it enough time to settle in for an alignment this weekend. I assume the factory default alignment is sufficient.
